2024 CAPHIA Public Health Hackathon - Preventing Domestic Violence

Event description

The first of its kind in Australasia, the 2024 CAPHIA Public health Hackathon, hosted by UQ Ventures and the University of Queensland's School of Public Health, will bring together public health students, early career academics, entrepreneurs, community, and industry innovators to "hack" one of our most urgent public health challenges.

This event brings together current and future leaders to address domestic violence by leveraging public health approaches alongside design thinking principles.

Student teams are supported by both mentors (Public Health academics, industry, community, and DV experts), and Design Thinking Ambassadors (entrepreneurs and start-up and spin out founders) to utilise both topic-specific knowledge and design thinking processes to challenge assumptions, and to generate, iterate and test solutions.
