2024 Not Back To School - Homeschool Buy, Sell, Swap morning

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

It's back!!! HEWA has again organised a homeschooling resources buy, sell, swap morning for our community. It's the first week of term, so we are going to 'celebrate' with a get together, and an opportunity to clear out the old or get some resources to prepare for a new year of learning.

We have booked a venue in a central location for this event. The hall is within a fully fenced complex that has lovely shady picnicking spots and an awesome nature playground! So you could bring a picnic and make a morning of it with other homeschooling families!! And there is a great coffee place around the corner (priorities)!

Information for sellers

  • You can book up to two trestle tables. The trestle tables are provided at the venue, but you will need to bring your own table cloths should you want them covered. The cost is to cover hall hire.
  • All the goods you have for sale must fit on or under the trestle tables. To prevent trip hazards, no items can be placed in front of the tables. If you have a lot of things to sell, please book two tables.
  • You are able to sell or swap homeschooling resources for all ages, however please ensure that they are of a quality that is acceptable to pass on (i.e. not highly damaged or mouldy or highly used if they are text books). If there are parts missing, then please clearly communicate this to the buyer.
  • What is considered a homeschool resource is broad and can includes things like reading books, workbooks, text books, toys, manipulatives, craft supplies, stationary, games, DVDs and so on. This is not a makers market for you to sell crafts or a swap meet for things completely unrelated to homeschooling (i.e. clothes, brick-a-brack)
  • No food items or perishable items are to be sold.
  • No electrical items (that plug into a wall socket) are able to be sold.
  • You must arrive at 9am to set up. You must have packed up all your items for sale by 12pm
  • It is your responsibility to take all of your items that haven't been sold away at the end of the session
  • The tickets are non-refundable, however if you find you can't attend, you can pass your trestle(s) on to someone else. Please ensure however that HEWA is kept in the loop as we need everyone who is selling to understand the conditions.
  • Sellers are able to buy as well. You do not need to book as separate ticket to also be a buyer as we have already included that in the numbers
  • There is a small booking fee added on to the price. We use Humanitix as the booking fee goes towards charitable causes.

Information for buyers

  • The event will run for two hours.
  • HEWA takes no responsibility for the quality of goods sold. We have asked sellers be aware of quality control and to clearly communicate if there is damage to items or missing parts, however we cannot control this on the day.
  • Children are welcome to attend the event, however they remain your responsibility during the event. A ticket should be booked for each person attending, including children. There is a fenced adventure playground within the grounds that is suitable for children of a variety of ages.
  • The event is FREE for buyers
  • To ensure that as many people as possible can attend the event, if you find you can no longer make it, please ask for a refund on your ticket so that we can pass it on to someone if there is a waitlist.

** This event is attend at your own risk, with stall holders not covered by HEWA insurance
