Congratulations Initiative - 2024 September New Babies Day

Our next New Babies Day is coming up and we are so excited!

Join us for an interactive session led by Amanda Clifford and Kim Upshon from EarlyEd who will cover a variety of topics to equip parents on early childhood intervention for babies aged 0-2 years, including:

• Interesting ways to incorporate OT skills through play
• Helpful information about feeding and speech
• Storybook, music and Keyword Sign language fun
• Tips for well-being and self care for parents  

Also included will be:

• Activities for siblings
• Lunch and socialising for all 
• Plenty of opportunity to ask questions

Speakers:

Amanda Clifford OT - Early Ed

Amanda is an experienced paediatric and neonatal Occupational Therapist, whose focus is on the earliest intervention for children with developmental challenges.  She has worked in health, non for profit organisations and independent practice both in Australia and the UK.  Amanda is passionate about supporting families in becoming the expert in their child.  She specialises in the development of children’s play, fine motor, and sensory processing skills, enabling them to meet their unique goals and fully participate in all they want to do in their world.

Kim Upshon- Speech Therapist - Early Ed

Kim is a paediatric Speech Pathologist with over 25 years of clinical experience working with young children in community clinics, child development centres, hospitals, preschools and schools as well as in private practice.  She is passionate about helping very young children and their families to connect in communication.  Kim also has special interests in working with children with speech disorders related to cleft palate / palatal anomalies and paediatric feeding disorder.
