ABOUT YOUR TUTOR
Siri Omberg is a silver jeweller whose creative path expanded after taking a felt-making workshop at Central Craft. She brought her new skills to Tapatjatjaka Art Centre in Titjikala, working with local artists to create handmade felt and crochet beanies. After a trip to Mexico, she returned with brightly coloured felt that became a canvas for storytelling through needle felting. Now working mainly with handmade Nepalese felt, Siri continues to evolve her practice with bold shapes and imagery. For over 20 years, she has delivered playful, inclusive beanie workshops in communities across Central Australia and beyond—from schools and town camps to prisons and remote towns. Her workshops are known for being joyful, creative spaces that inspire connection and artistic exploration.
