Each year, in the stunning surrounds of the East MacDonnell Ranges, the iconic Harts Range Races come to life at the historic Harts Range Racecourse — 215km east of Alice Springs along the Plenty Highway. Now in its 78th year, this cherished Territory tradition is the proud origin of the NT’s August Picnic Day Public Holiday.
