Experience the Heart of the Outback at the Harts Range Races!

Each year, in the stunning surrounds of the East MacDonnell Ranges, the iconic Harts Range Races come to life at the historic Harts Range Racecourse — 215km east of Alice Springs along the Plenty Highway. Now in its 78th year, this cherished Territory tradition is the proud origin of the NT’s August Picnic Day Public Holiday.

From thrilling races to a vibrant community atmosphere, there's something for everyone at this uniquely Territorian event.
