16 Days of Activism: Community Walk
Description
Wear your brightest orange outfit and join us for a community walk to show your support for 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.
By joining our Brimbank Community Walk, you can stand in solidarity with people who have experienced family violence and violence against women, while showing your commitment to a safer, more equal community.
Violence against women remains a serious issue in Australia. More than one in three women have experienced men's violence. While not all disrespect leads to violence, all violence against women begins with disrespect. Each of us has a role to play in creating change by promoting respect, equality and inclusion in our homes, workplaces, schools and communities.
We'll be joined by guest speakers, community organisations and local leaders from across Brimbank as we walk together to raise awareness and show our commitment to ending gender-based violence.
Together, we can help build a Brimbank where women, girls and people of all genders are safe, valued and respected.
