Plate Lithography Course

This course covers the practicalities of printing from aluminum lithography plates. You will learn how to transfer drawings directly onto the plate with oxide paper and will explore different drawing techniques using lithography pencils, crayons and tusche washes to create different marks.

You will be shown how to prepare paper, learn registration techniques, and use our manual and electric printing presses to develop the skills to produce your own original prints to take home.
