    A Breathwork Journey- a trauma informed space

    • Limited to 8 spaces
    • Friday 8th Dec
    • 7pm-9.30pm

    IMPORTANT: Please bring a water bottle, journal and pen and wear comfortable, warm clothes. Please refrain from eating anything heavy within an hour or two prior to the session. An eye mask can also be helpful to go deeper (optional).

    When we breathe deeply and consciously, we connect to ourselves more. When we are more connected to ourselves, we are able to connect with others and the world around us in a beautiful and profound way.

    The session will begin with some connection, movement and intention setting. We will be exploring Biodynamic Breathwork, a conscious connected breathing modality based on coming into the body and exploring where you may be holding tension or emotions through 6 elements of breath, sound, movement, touch, emotions and meditation. This session will also include the use of instruments such as chimes, crystal bowls and medicine drum to help with integration and healing. At the end there will be time to process through sharing and journaling. 

    The intention of this session is to release heaviness from the body whether that be physically or emotionally to ensure you can go into the festive season with as much loving energy as possible. This journey will leave you feeling liberated, clear and a lot more calmer in the body.

    Breathwork:

    The breathing technique we will be using is a conscious connected breathing - in through the nose and out through the mouth.
    Whilst the breathing technique is a deep breathing technique, it is not a fast pace rhythm. The pace of breathing is slow and connected, and throughout the session you will be guided into stillness so your body has time to slow down. 

    Please also note that there can be times of emotional release which may come through loud sounds, tears, loud laughter, so if you feel this may impact you throughout the workshop then a private session may be more suited to your needs at this time. (feel free to be in touch to discuss)

    It is highly recommended to keep the remainder of the evening free from too much stimulating activity or commitments.

    Contraindications:

    There are some contraindications to participating in this work

    The breathwork is not suitable for people under the age of 16, with epilepsy, chronic heart conditions, chronic asthma and anyone pregnant in their first trimester and some mental health imbalances including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder.
