A Colourful Storm: Carla dal Forno, Who Cares?, The Motifs, Moopie (5 hrs), Sofay (4 hrs)
Event description
A Colourful Storm and Misc Sundays present Carla dal Forno’s first Melbourne show in almost a decade. Now based in her hometown of Castlemaine after time in Berlin and London, four critically acclaimed albums released on her own Kallista Records and Blackest Ever Black and countless tours around the world, she returns to perform songs from her forthcoming album alongside evergreen wonders from Come Around, Look Up Sharp, You Know What It's Like and more.
Live support comes from Naarm’s Who Cares?, the new kids on the block whose self-titled EP caught our attention and who also have a single on A Colourful Storm’s forthcoming Going Back to Sleep compilation, and The Motifs, the cult Y2K indie-pop outfit who have recently seen a welcome resurgence thanks to the archival work of local label Daisart.
We are trying something new! Moopie will close the night with a 5-hour extended set in finest Misc Sundays fashion and Sofay will open the rooftop with selections that many will recognise from her longstanding NTS Radio show. The live music will proceed from around 6pm, with full set times to come. We have tailored the following presale ticket tiers accordingly, and have also allocated some free guaranteed entry tickets between 2-4pm:
♡ Free entry for all and happy hour 2-4pm
♡ $25 between 4-8pm
♡ $15 after 8pm
