a slow stitch workshop in Robertson
Event description
In conjunction with the confidantes - an exhibition at the SHAC in Robertson - Michele Elliot will be holding two slow stitch workshops.
The workshops cover an introduction to basic stitches, pattern building and easy applique. Using hand embroidery and recycled textiles, Michele will take you through hand stitching techniques that can be used in an array of projects and embellishments.
Slow stitch is a meditative practice that can ease you into a relaxed frame of mind. It can help to switch off after a stressful day or ease anxiety in its rhythmic action.
This is a great hands-on workshop for both beginners and experienced alike.
Michele’s workshops are small in number to allow time for individual attention. No sewing experience is necessary.
You can select your preferred date when you click through to Tickets.
