A Taste of Fiji
Event description
Learn to make some yummy dishes, popular in Fiji, then sit down and enjoy them with others!Â
We will get a taste of Fiji with our hosts Philo Kumkee and Sisilia Waqairatavo. Sisilia is from the Island of Taveuni in Fiji and has been in Ashburton for 2 years now. Philo is from Lautoka and moved to Ashburton just over a year ago.
Philo & Sisilia will share their culture and cuisine with us. Get some new recipe ideas, learn about another country and enjoy a lovely dinner together with others.
The menu will include:
- Wacipoki - taro leaf balls cooked in coconut milk - v, df, (gf option)
- Baigani Tavu - grilled eggplant in coconut milk  - v, df, gf
- Kokoda - raw fish in coconut milk - df, gf
- Taro - v, df, gf
- Cassava cake for dessert - vt, gf
Limited to 10 people so get in quick.
