Event description

When the local mosque is burned to the ground in an apparent hate crime, the town of Victoria, Texas must overcome its age-old political, racial, and economic divides to find a collective way forward. 'A Town Called Victoria' is a Reel South and Independent Lens co-production. A discussion with Rabbi Ariel Stone, Rabbi Benjamin Barnett and community organizer Seemab Hussaini will follow the screening of this acclaimed documentary. All ages are welcome.

Eastside Jewish Commons is proud to host the first of five Indie Lens Pop Up films that will be screened at EJC through May of 2024.
