A winter solstice dinner!
Description
Dandelion invites you to our very first community event!
A winter solstice dinner taking place on Sunday, June 21st from 6pm at Vogelmorn. We’ll be serving up a seasonal, plant-based, three-course set menu in a warm room aglow with the light of candles. Many of our ingredients will be locally foraged, sustainably sourced and rescued or redirected food waste.
Winter solstice is the darkest day of the year, it is a time of reflection, a celebration of our past solar year and a welcoming of the next! This event is an invitation to come together in community to hold each other through the darkening and slowing of our days. Let collective joy and celebration fill your cup, and keep you warm until summer arrives.
Dandelion is committed to a pay-what-you-can-afford model, so the ticket price can be determined by what is accessible for you. We have a suggested price that helps us to cover the costs of the event. Any surplus profit goes back into making more events like this happen.
This dinner is designed to foster connection, new and old, so come with your friends, whānau, or alone. There will be a seat for you at a shared table either way. All ages are welcome, but please give us a heads up if your tamariki will be in attendance. Please note that this is a set vegetarian menu, with vegan and gluten free options, but feel free to reach out to us prior to buying a ticket if you would like to be sure we can cater to any further dietary needs. Unfortunately this venue is not wheelchair accessible. We look forward to seeing you there!
please note the menu does contain rescued walnuts. If you have a nut allergy you may wish to get in touch before purchasing a ticket. We will do our best, but we cannot guarantee no cross contamination.
