ABC Pop-Up Piano 2026 Community Launch Concert in American River

This concert will be held in the atmospheric KI Oysters working warehouse on the wharf, Tangara Drive in American River, Kangaroo Island. After the concert, KI Oysters will hold an afternoon event from 1pm, please follow their socials for more information (https://www.facebook.com/share/17zdwvWSWv/) or KI Oysters on American River Community Home Facebook page.

The wharf area is already a hub for tourists with its jetty and fishers, cafe, resident pelicans and seals, and RIG boat restoration project.

The concert will be compered by popular local John Holmes. It will feature local talent, from beginners to advanced, and other musical participation. We may just have a few surprise performers join us!

If you've watched the ABC series The Piano (stream on i-view), you'll know that it's not only the playing, but the stories behind the playing that make the performance special.

We hope to bring some of those stories and the joy of piano playing and participating to our concert.

This is a free concert, but please register so we can ensure a comfortable experience for everyone.

Pianists at any level who would like to play at the concert, please be in touch. Contact Jane Turner Goldsmith (press the contact host button).

See you there!
