Abstract Acrylic Painting with Fabrizio Bianchi

$200 for 6 weeks

Intimidated by abstract painting? Instructor Fabrizio Bianchi will break down abstract painting and guide you through the techniques, tools and methods involved in creating your own abstract work. Students will use acrylic paint and mixed media and tools for mark-making and texture and will learn composition, interpretations, and different styles of abstract painting.

Level intermediate -- some acrylic painting experience recommended.

About the Artist: Fabrizio Bianchi

Gestural markings and urban graffiti have always intrigued me in exploring the intuitive rhythm of colors and patterns, revealing different interpretations of a multilayered world into the sublime. As a second generation Latino I merge my North and Latin American experiences and influences into my abstract landscapes, revealing their own language for viewers to decipher for themselves. I have been an active artist for over 35 years, displaying my work in local venues in Raleigh, Durham, Carrboro, and Hillsborough. With a BFA in Painting from East Carolina University and an MFA in Painting from UNM, I have also taught several traditional and digital art classes in the Southwest and Southeast US.
