Abstract Bubble Painting

What happens when you mix bubbles, colour and absolutely no need to get it right?

Come and find out. 😝

We’ll play with bubble mixture and paint, blowing bubbles and letting them overflow onto the paper. As they pop and dry, they leave behind unexpected colours, patterns and impressions.

Then we’ll see what’s there.

You might keep your piece exactly as it is. You might find shapes, characters, botanicals or something completely unexpected hiding amongst the bubbles. You might cut it up, add to it, change direction or decide the bubbles have already done enough.

Excellent.

This isn’t an art class where everyone follows the same steps to produce the same finished piece.

It’s two hours to play with colour, breath, curiosity, imperfection and possibility — without needing to know where you’re going before you begin.

No art experience needed. Seriously.

I’ll bring the ideas, materials and possibilities.

You decide where they take you.

Everything is an invitation. Work quietly, have a chat, take a breather, change direction or ignore one of my suggestions because you’ve discovered something much more interesting.

All creative materials are included.

Tea, coffee, herbal tea and water available. You’re also welcome to bring your own drink or snack.

Come as you are. We’ll take it from there. 💜

We’ll take some time to arrive and settle before creating, with music and a relaxed sensory environment helping set the space.

Then we’ll explore Bubble Painting at an unhurried pace. There’s room to experiment, wander off in another direction, stop for a while or simply see what happens.

There’s no expectation to finish anything, share your work or explain what it means.

Beginners are absolutely welcome, including people who don’t consider themselves creative.

Different ways of thinking, communicating, creating and participating are welcome too.

If you or someone you’re bringing has particular sensory, communication or participation needs, you’re welcome to contact me before the gathering. I can’t promise every environment will suit every person, but I’m very happy to talk about what might help you feel comfortable participating.

Young people under 16 are welcome with a responsible adult. A non-participating supervising adult can attend with a young person’s ticket at no additional cost.

However, should you wish to create, please purchase an appropriate ticket so I can make sure there are enough materials and creative spaces for everyone.

Pay-It-Forward - $90

Family ticket includes either 1 participating adult + up to 3 children under 10, or 1 participating adult + up to 2 young people aged 10–15.

Concession, a reduced price place for those who need it. Please choose this option if the standard ticket price would make attending difficult. Support person may attend at no extra cost.

Supporting is free. Participating requires a ticket.

Pay It Forward, if you have a little extra capacity this ticket helps make Soulful Expressions gatherings accessible to someone who may not otherwise be able to attend. Price includes standard entry ticket for yourself and $15 towards a Community Place. It is community supporting community - someone holding the door open for the next person.
