Living with a dust disease, or supporting someone who is? Join us at the ADSS Dust Diseases Symposium for people affected by asbestos, silica and other dust-related diseases, along with their families, carers and supporters. Health professionals, researchers and community members are also welcome. Hear from leading specialists Professor Ken O'Byrne and Dr Matt Fanning as they share the latest developments in diagnosis, treatment, patient care and medical research, with opportunities to learn, connect and ask questions.

The Asbestos Disease Support Society (ADSS) is a not-for-profit organisation providing essential support to individuals affected by asbestos-related diseases, as well as their families and carers. Founded in 1992 by the late Mrs Shirley White OAM, the Society has grown into a trusted source of assistance, advocacy, awareness, and education.

ADSS is committed to delivering high-quality support services to those impacted by asbestos exposure. The Society also works to advocate for stronger protections, lobbying all levels of government to address asbestos-related issues. Through community and workplace awareness programs, ADSS helps educate the public on the dangers of asbestos exposure. Additionally, the Society collaborates with the health sector to improve understanding and treatment of asbestos-related diseases.

ADSS provides a range of free services to members, including advice on asbestos-related issues, telephone support, morning teas, and support groups in local communities. The Society also assists with referrals to experienced legal professionals and maintains a register of asbestos exposure.
