Adults Foundational Art Program-Term 2 (10 weeks)
Description
Adult Foundational Drawing & Painting
Have you always wanted to learn to draw or paint, or reconnect with your creativity but didn’t know where to start?
Adult Foundational Drawing & Painting is a welcoming and supportive art class designed to help you build real creative skills while rediscovering the joy of making art.
Participants will learn essential artistic foundations including observational drawing, sketching techniques, composition and visual storytelling, colour theory, painting techniques, and creative experimentation. Through structured exercises and guided projects, the program builds a strong understanding of both drawing and painting fundamentals so participants leave feeling more confident and capable of creating artwork independently.
Classes are led by artist and educator Kelly Joy, who trained at the National Art School and is a professional artist recognised nationally for her work. With strong expertise in traditional drawing and painting techniques, Kelly combines classical training with a fun and supportive teaching approach, helping participants develop technical ability while enjoying the creative process.
