Advanced Emergency Pedagogy Training – Crisis Prevention, Management, and Recovery

This intensive week provides advanced training in Emergency Pedagogy, equipping participants with practical skills to respond to complex crises and support recovery in individuals and communities.

Modules Covered:

• Module 5: School Shootings, Stabbings, and Critical Incidents – strategies for immediate response, safety, and trauma-informed intervention.

• Module 6: Mass Disasters – including bushfires, floods, and pandemic-related trauma; community healing and the role of animal-assisted interventions in crisis.

• Module 7: Trauma and Identity – understanding transgenerational trauma and ritual forms of traumatization, with approaches for sensitive engagement.

• Module 8: Organisation, Implementation, and Follow-Up – planning, executing, and evaluating emergency pedagogical deployments.

• Module 12: Project – Final Assessment, synthesising learning into practical, real-world application.

Participants will gain advanced competencies in trauma-informed educational practices, crisis management, and community recovery.
