Public Talk and Q & A with Bernd Ruf: Youth Trauma Violence and Suicide
Youth Trauma Violence and Suicide Public Talk and Q and A
Bernd Ruf brings more than 40 years of international experience supporting children, young people and communities affected by trauma, violence, disaster and social crisis.
His early professional experience as a police officer gives him a grounded understanding of crisis, risk and the realities faced when people are in acute distress. He later went on to become an internationally recognised educator, trauma pedagogue and founder of Emergency Pedagogy, a trauma-informed humanitarian approach now operating in 41 countries.
Bernd’s work offers practical insight into what sits beneath distress, aggression, violence, withdrawal and suicidal ideation in young people, and how adults and systems can respond in ways that restore safety, trust and stability.
