The Ahuroa Volunteer Fire Brigade is excited to invite you to a fund raising day for the brigade at the iconic Gibbs Farm, 2421 Kaipara Coast Highway.

Friday, 15th September, 2023 from 10am until 2pm.

Tickets are limited to 150 people so don't muck around - they sell out fast!

Please note: Gibbs Farm is a private property, open by appointment only on scheduled monthly visitor days as per website: http://bookings.gibbsfarm.org.nz/reservations.

Gibbs Farm have kindly supported the brigade with this fund raising open day. Gibbs Farm doesn't not charge an entry fee and all monies raised go towards the brigade and their support of the community.

The Ahuroa Volunteer Fire Brigade

Out volunteers are made up of locals in the community who come from a range of backgrounds and occupations, all coming together to work as part of a team to serve our community.

Out first response area covers 142sqkm made up of farmland, forestry, native bush, waterways, farms and road. We serve a resident population of approximately 1140 people covering 459 addresses as well as backing up neighbouring brigades. We also cover the busy stretch of SH16 from Makarau to Glorit.

In the past year we have attended over 100 calls, the majority of which are medical first response, but also include motor vehicle accidents, vegetation fires, structural fires, vehicle fires, fallen trees and flooding.
