    Event description

In today's rapidly evolving tech landscape, AI holds immense promise for businesses seeking to innovate and streamline operations. To help those procuring and supplying AI solutions navigate their way through the commercial and legal implications of AI, our data, IP and AI experts will cover:

    1. What businesses should be asking their prospective suppliers when they are procuring AI solutions to ensure that they know what they are signing up for. Are they complying with all relevant data protection and IP laws? How does the supplier use data inputted to the AI tool by the business? Who owns that material? How do they train their AI model?

    2. What else businesses can do to protect themselves from legal risk when they are procuring and using AI models; and

    3. How suppliers of AI solutions can ensure that they are complying with data protection, IP and associated regulations, and how can they persuade prospective customers that their products do not present a commercial risk.

We'd like to help businesses of all shapes and sizes to make the most of AI solutions, whilst ensuring that they minimise risk. Being equipped with the right tools when procuring and suppling AI products can also keep legal costs to a minimum, as it can avoid the need to ask lawyers to pour over the terms and conditions attached to each product - asking lots of questions upfront encourages the parties to be clear about what is involved.

Join us for coffee at 12pm, a talk from 12.30-1.30 and lunch at 1.30. We look forward to seeing you there!

Our speakers are Alison Berryman, data protection expert, and Anna Ward, IP specialist, both of Biztech Lawyers.
