AIDN QLD DEFENCE INDUSTRY MICRO-CREDENTIALING PROGRAM
About the Program:
This 4-hour practitioner-level program will take participants through the end-to-end innovation cycle, from identifying military problems, applying creative problem-solving methods, and aligning with Defence priorities, to accessing funding, navigating AUKUS pathways, and commercialising ideas for the market. Interactive activities guide attendees through real-world scenarios, ensuring skills can be applied directly back into business and project contexts.
Course: Accelerate and Commercialise Defence Innovation
Session 1: Identifying a Relevant Defence/Military Problem - Understand the ADF Strategic Framework, innovation challenges, and context.
Session 2: Defining the Problem - Problem-centred design, reverse brainstorming, 3 primary lenses and more.
Session 3: Accelerating Your Innovation - Design thinking, divergent approaches, brainstorming, triaging.
Session 4: Take Your Invention to Market - Funding, commercial potential, delivery models.
