Event description

This event is a partnership between the Society and Neighbourhood, a community organisation based at the Pear Coffeehouse adjacent to the Alberton Railway Station.

Brian Samuels will lead a walk demonstrating some of the ways in which a knowledge of your local history can help to sustain a feeling of community / sense of belonging. Annemijn van Marlen will talk about how Neighbourhood seeks to connect people on a local level and encourage a sense of community and neighbourliness.

Gather by the playground in Company Square for a 7pm sharp start. The approximately 30-minute walk will end at the Village Grounds Café, near the corner of Station Place and Torrens Rd, where Annemijn’s talk will be followed by supper.
