Rangiora Town Hall is a graceful touchstone of Rangiora’s civic identity, opened in 1926 and designed by architect Henry St. Aubyn Murray. Its classic façade and original detailing speak of neoclassical elegance, and the building has long hosted cultural life—from orchestras and theatre to community choirs and public ceremonies. Inside, the main auditorium retains both ground‑floor and balcony seating and has been upgraded over time with refined acoustics, professional lighting, and a well‑appointed stage. Alongside this, a smaller theatre space, meeting rooms, and communal foyers make it adaptable to everything from dramatic performances and film screenings to meetings and banquets. Located at the corner of High and King Streets in Rangiora’s town centre, it offers a heritage‑rich and welcoming setting for concerts, celebrations, and gatherings alike.
