" My first yoga experience with Amani Yoga as a Black woman was unforgettable. Maria creates a secure and supportive environment that allows me to connect with my body, spirit, and mind. A sacred space to decrease racial stress, practice self-care, and foster a sense of community and sisterhood. I am incredibly grateful to Maria Osman for providing this opportunity to Sisters Healing Space, and I eagerly anticipate future sessions"
AMANI Yoga came out of a desire to create an culturally inclusive yoga space for BIWOC to feel safe and have a sense of belonging and experience how yoga can contribute to your healing and well-being.
This offering includes
- A restorative yoga practice- providing deep rest, a practice which you can take away and practice daily (all postures are accessible to all bodies and all levels of experience, especially beginners)
- An exploration of how racial stress impacts our body’s nervous system and how yoga can relax the nervous system in a safe nurturing setting
- Yoga Nidra for rest, clarity and direction
- Takeaway self care tools

- AMANI Yoga- healing racial stress and restorative yoga© is intended for self-identified black woman, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander woman and women of colour. Thank you for honouring this intention.
- No previous yoga experience is required – Yoga is for EVERYBODY
- Wear loose comfortable clothes
- Please no perfumes or makeup
- Please bring a water bottle, towel or sarong to cover the bolsters
- Yoga equipment such as mats etc are provided but you are welcome to bring your own
- Bring journal, notepad and pen

AMANI Yoga founder Maria Osman is qualified Hatha yoga teacher (High Vibe Yoga- Bali- RYS 200 Yoga Alliance) with further training in Yin Yoga (Jo Phee -Yinspiration) the Science of Slow Flow, Restorative Yoga , Healing Trauma through Yoga and Meditation.
