" My first yoga experience with Amani Yoga as a Black woman was unforgettable. Maria creates a secure and supportive environment that allows me to connect with my body, spirit, and mind. A sacred space to decrease racial stress, practice self-care, and foster a sense of community and sisterhood. I am incredibly grateful to Maria Osman for providing this opportunity to Sisters Healing Space, and I eagerly anticipate future sessions"

AMANI Yoga came out of a desire to create an culturally inclusive yoga space for BIWOC to feel safe and have a sense of belonging and experience how yoga can contribute to your healing and well-being.

This offering includes

A restorative yoga practice- providing deep rest, a practice which you can take away and practice daily (all postures are accessible to all bodies and all levels of experience, especially beginners)
An exploration of how racial stress impacts our body’s nervous system and how yoga can relax the nervous system in a safe nurturing setting
Yoga Nidra for rest, clarity and direction
Takeaway self care tools

AMANI Yoga- healing racial stress and restorative yoga© is intended for self-identified black woman, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander woman and women of colour. Thank you for honouring this intention.
No previous yoga experience is required – Yoga is for EVERYBODY
Wear loose comfortable clothes
Please no perfumes or makeup
Please bring a water bottle, towel or sarong to cover the bolsters
Yoga equipment such as mats etc are provided but you are welcome to bring your own
Bring journal, notepad and pen

AMANI Yoga founder Maria Osman is qualified Hatha yoga teacher (High Vibe Yoga- Bali- RYS 200 Yoga Alliance) with further training in Yin Yoga (Jo Phee -Yinspiration) the Science of Slow Flow, Restorative Yoga , Healing Trauma through Yoga and Meditation.
