Back by popular demand, Amor Prohibido, the premier Selena tribute band, returns to The Bornemann after selling out the theatre last year. Get ready, San Marcos—this fan-favorite tribute is back to celebrate the music, energy, and legacy of the Queen of Tejano.

Amor Prohibido transports audiences back to the ’90s, when Selena’s timeless music ruled the airwaves. With seven powerhouse musicians on stage, this tribute elevates the meaning of authenticity. You have to see—and hear—it to believe it.

Fronted by Nira Perez, an extraordinary vocalist and uncanny Selena look- and sound-alike, the band delivers a performance so authentic it feels like witnessing Selena herself. Backed by a high-energy five-piece band, Amor Prohibido recreates Selena’s iconic sound with passion, rhythm, and nonstop crowd favorites.
