An Evening with T. Kingfisher

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Join us for an exclusive evening with award-winning author T. Kingfisher (Ursula Vernon) who will be chatting with fellow author, A.G. Saltter, about the release of her hair-raising novel, What Feasts at Night (sequel to What Moves The Dead).

6pm for 6:30pm start

About the book:

Alex Easton returns to their home country of Gallacia, only to be confronted by a strange new horror.

When Alex Easton travels to Gallacia as a favour to their friend, the excellent Miss Potter, they find their home empty, the caretaker dead, and the grounds blanketed by an uncanny silence. The locals won't talk  about what happened to the caretaker. None of them will set foot on the grounds.

Whispers of an unearthly breath-stealing creature from Gallacian folklore don't trouble practical Easton. But as strange visions disturb their sleep and odd happenings increase, they are forced to confront the dark shadow that hangs over the house...

About the authors:

T. Kingfisher is the vaguely absurd pen-name author Ursula Vernon uses when writing for adults. In another life, she writes children’s books and weird comics. As Kingfisher, she has won the Hugo, Nebula, Locus and Dragon Awards, including the Hugo for Best Novel for her book Nettle & Bone. When she is not writing, she is probably out in the garden, trying to make eye contact with butterflies.

Angela Slatter (also writing as A.G. Slatter) is the author of five novels, including All the Murmuring Bones and The Path of Thorns and eleven short story collections, including The Bitterwood Bible and The Tallow-Wife and Other Tales. She’s won a World Fantasy Award, a British Fantasy Award, a Ditmar, two Australian Shadows Awards and seven Aurealis Awards; she's been a finalist for the Courier-Mail People’s Choice Book of the Year Award and nominated for the Dublin Literary Award.
