An Introduction to Linocut Printmaking with Tish
Event description
Have you ever tried lino carving to make prints of art? It's a really interesting process of developing a design, carving away at lino, and creating a surface to ink, print and reveal your artwork! It's a type of printmaking process call relief printing - after cutting away at your lino, the ink attaches to the lino left behind to produce your artwork.
It's not too tricky, but having some guidance, tips and tricks to help you along the way can really make all the difference. So come along to de-stress and carve out your feelings into lino - what a relief!
What we will cover?

- An intro to what Lino carving actually is
- An intro to Lino carving materials, tools and their techniques - how to carve your lino tile and what designs work best for beginners
