Event description

Montessori education continues to attract growing interest from parents and educators alike, yet it often encounters misconceptions. We are honoured to welcome Alison Demangeon to our Annual Webinar, who led the pioneering meta-analysis on the impact of Montessori education on young children’s development and learning. Alison will detail the fundamental principles of the Montessori approach, illustrating how it fosters children's development by respecting their individual learning paces.

The session will begin with an introduction to these core principles, followed by an exploration of the scientific foundations underpinning Montessori education. We will examine recent research highlighting its positive effects on child development and learning, address the method’s limitations, and propose practical solutions to enhance its effectiveness. In addition to Alison's expert insights, the webinar will incorporate a range of perspectives from within the Australian Montessori community, adding rich layers to our discussion.

Join us for a comprehensive exploration of Montessori education, backed by rigorous scientific research and enriched by firsthand experiences from our diverse panel of speakers.

MSCA's Annual General Meeting (AGM) will follow.

All tickets are priced at $20 to cover administrative costs.
