Event description

The stunning Cedars property, historic home of Australian artists Sir Hans Heysen and his daughter Nora Heysen, is the perfect backdrop for this fun and nature-based school holiday workshop with local artist and teacher Zinia King. Using the magnificent native gums on the Cedars property for inspiration, students will draw their own Australian native tree with human characteristics. Let your imagination and creativity run wild as Zinia guides you in creating your own quirky piece of artwork using artistic techniques before colouring your piece with pencils or paints.

Suitable for ages 8+, adults welcome. All materials supplied. For parents/caregivers not participating in the workshop, The Cedars Cafe & Tea Rooms will be open and the stunning Artist's Garden available for a restorative wander or relax under the trees.
