‘Art in the Afternoon’
We invite you to join highly acclaimed artist Hong Fu for a relaxed and informative Art Demonstration experience at Malvern Artists’ Society Gallery.
A masterful artist, having had extensive training in China, Hong arrived in Australia in 1990 and currently works at his Melbourne art studio. He is an Internationally recognised and award-winning artist who has been a finalist four times in the Archibald Prize. He was recently selected as the only Chinese-Australian artist to be represented in the prestigious “Archie 100: A Century of the Archibald Prize” with his portrait of Dr Joseph Brown.
Viewers can observe Hong Fu commence a new still life oil painting of vibrant flowers and will witness its development from a “work in progress” to completion. He is a realist artist, with a unique contemporary vision and modernist leanings. An opportunity to observe his extraordinary technical artistic ability.
We welcome art patrons of all levels of art appreciation! This experience supports group-learning and is ideal for participants seeking to connect with their creative
community.
