Event description

Join us for a grounding, creative start to your weekend with a beautiful art journaling and tea meditation workshop with Sierra Truong from The Grounded Circle.

What to expect

Sierra will begin with an introduction to the practices of art journaling and tea meditation, and share a little about her own personal experience with burnout during her time balancing work stress with selfless service activities and how drawing and art journaling helped her reconnect with herself during this time.

Then she'll guide us through a creative and fun art journaling practice, specifically designed for those who are feeling the effects of burnout and intense stress. After this, you are welcome to leave if you need to get to work. Otherwise, for those who are able to stay until the end, Sierra will lead us through a tea ceremony and guided meditation.

Expect a safe, calm and grounding space where there is no pressure to be 'good' or do things well, but simply to be and to create! You'll likely leave the session feeling calm, connected and joyful.

What to bring
A drink bottle (there is a sink to refill your water bottle), comfortable clothes and any extra pillows/cushions (the community centre provides some, but there may not be enough for everyone). The tea, teaware and art supplies will all be provided.

Inclusivity & accessibility

We are an inclusive community and strive to make our events as inclusive as possible for everyone who attends. You can read our community guidelines here. If you have accessibility needs, please speak to us about how we can make this work for you.
