Creative Collage workshop with artist Christina Darras

Enjoy a fun and inspirational afternoon with artist Christina Darras as she guides you through the steps to creating your own amazing collage artwork.

Tearing, cutting, pasting, using patterns, creating your own textures, and adding 3D materials are among the many techniques this workshop will offer. Participants will experiment with a variety of materials to compose a creative collage-focused artwork.

Christina will show a small presentation of her own work and example of collage artwork for inspiration before you dive into your own creations. There will also be an opportunity to see Christina’s work on show in the Bayley Arts exhibition, Colour showing from 11th Nov until 2nd December.

This workshop is great for all skill levels and abilities.

ABOUT CHRISTINA DARRAS

Christina Darras is a local Bayside interdisciplinary artist and jewellery designer. She has studied drawing and painting at Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris, France and printmaking in London, UK. After a long career in the visual arts overseas, Christina moved to Melbourne a few years ago and has since collaborated with Craft Victora, Wangaratta Regional Gallery, Kiitos Living by design, Kingston Arts and is a finalist in the Lester Prize 2023, Art Gallery of Western Australia, and Wyndham Art Prize 2023, Wyndham Art Gallery.

This workshop is suitable for persons 16 years and over, people aged under 18 years must be accompanied by a ticketed adult. If you are in a wheelchair please let us know so that we can make sure you have a comfortable experience.
