ABOUT
Artists for Kids Culture design and create opportunities for a new generation to emerge with creative confidence. We aim to inspire children to use the arts to challenge themselves, build belief in their own creativity and improve their wellbeing.Â
The artsbus is a mobile arts space enabling AKC to facilitate meaningful and inclusive arts activities. The AKC artsbus comes to children to provide a quality creative service for free. It’s about letting children and young people explore, create and grow. With the City of Port Phillip support, the artsbus has facilitated free after-school weekly programs at the Park Towers housing estate for primary school aged kids this year.Â
'artistic quests' is the title of the exhibition, which comes from a poem made in collaboration with kids at artsbus. The poem explores the artsbus values (our 5cs) and simple rules to support everyone to be their best selves:Â
At artsbus...
"We are creative and express ourselves with art
In this space, we are courteous, safe and polite,
Being courageous to try new things with all our might.
We care for ourselves, each other and materials too
We have fun together and collaborate - me and you!
Everyone has a right to be heard, we've agreed
and take time in the chill zone whenever we need.
So we give it a go and try our best
And support each other on our artistic quests!
