Artists Around A Table - Community Cooking Class
Description
Artists Around A Table – Community Cooking Class
Friday, May 29 | 6 – 9 pm
Few things in life are more inspiring than gathering around a table with good food, good drinks, and even better company. These kinds of creative, social moments have fueled artists for generations—and they’re at the heart of the Art Center’s current exhibition, Artists Around a Table: Artmaking and Merrymaking, 1927–1952.
So—consider this your invitation to the party.
Join us for a one-of-a-kind, hands-on cooking class led by Culinary Annex’s Chef Cass, where you’ll create (and enjoy!) classic party foods from the 1920s, 30s, and 40s. Expect a lively, social atmosphere full of flavor, laughter, and a little bit of indulgence—echoing the barrooms and parlors where artists once gathered to eat, drink, debate, and delight in one another’s company.
Come solo or bring a friend—either way, you’ll leave with new recipes, new connections, and maybe a good story or two. Ingredients and instructions are provided—just bring your own bottle (and your best gossip).
