Description

Join the Australian Screen Editors (ASE), Made in the West Creative and Western Sydney Filmmakers Hangout for an afternoon of networking, conversation and community, as the ASE Social Drinks series heads to Western Sydney for the first time.

This special edition brings together editors, assistant editors, post-production professionals, filmmakers and screen creatives from across Sydney. Whether you're a long-time ASE member, a regular attendee of the Sydney socials, or you're looking to make new industry connections, everyone is welcome.

The afternoon will feature conversations with two acclaimed editors whose work spans feature films and documentaries:

Come along to hear about their careers, meet fellow creatives from across the region and help build stronger connections among Sydney's post-production community.

    Matias Bolla is a Chilean-Australian filmmaker from Western Sydney whose passion for visual storytelling is deeply rooted in his upbringing and cultural heritage. Working across documentary, drama, music videos, and commercials, he brings a narrative-driven approach to his work as both a director and editor.

  • Romain Mongin

    Romain Mongin

    With over 12 years in post-production, Romain specialises in narrative feature films that demand emotional precision and visual storytelling. His work spans indie dramas to sci-fi epics, always seeking the invisible rhythm that makes a story breathe.
