COHORT 4: TERM 2 2025 - TERM 4 2025
This PLD will consist of three face-to-face workshops, digital resources and online communities of practice.
All workshops will run 9am - 3pm.

MODULES:
Day 1: The Science of Learning
Key Components of ImpactEDs Comprehensive Literacy Framework
Explore the cognitive foundations of learning and how they connect to literacy development. This session delves into evidence-based principles of memory, attention, and learning transfer to establish a foundation for literacy success.
Day 2: Spelling and transcription I Decoding
Effective literacy starts with mastering foundational skills. This day focuses on building strong spelling and transcription strategies alongside decoding techniques, empowering students to break down words and develop automaticity.
Day 3: Reading Fluency I Comprehension
Support learners to go beyond decoding, developing fluency and deep comprehension in a range of texts. This session explores how fluency bridges word recognition and understanding, while comprehension strategies encourage critical thinking and engagement with diverse text types.
Minimum numbers of 20 apply
