Asian Cinema Collective presents: Days of Being Wild (1990) 4K

Join the Asian Cinema Collective for a special screening of Wong Kar Wai’s Days of Being Wild (1990) 4K restoration at Chinatown Cinema!

This month we are thrilled to partner with Chinatown Cinema to host a preview screening of Days of Being Wild (1990) on Wed 14 October. All tickets also include a special commemorative ticket to celebrate the screening designed by our friends at By Third Party!

Leslie Cheung leads an all-star cast of Hong Kong screen legends including Maggie Cheung, Andy Lau and Carina Lau in Wong Kar-wai's swooning second feature.

Musing on themes of lost connection, misspent youth and time, Days of Being Wild follows Leslie Cheung as Yuddy, an aimless young man who fills his life with a series of casual encounters. Set in the sweltering heat of '60s Hong Kong, we meet shy cinema attendant Su Li-zhen (Maggie Cheung), cabaret singer Mimi (Carina Lau) and neighbourhood cop Tide (Andy Lau), all drawn together through Wong's now-iconic non-linear storytelling.

Days of Being Wild marks the first collaboration between Wong Kar-wai and cinematographer Christopher Doyle, and is the first film in the informal trilogy that continues with In the Mood for Love and 2046.
