About the Film
Dive straight into the madness of the genre-bending cult classic Save the Green Planet!
Part thriller, part horror, part comedy, Save the Green Planet! is the debut feature of Korean director Jang Jun-hwan.
The film follows Byeong-gu, a paranoid young man who believes aliens have infiltrated the Earth and are planning an attack. Immersing himself in sci-fi films and alternative literature, he becomes convinced that the leader of the alien invasion is the CEO of a large multinational corporation. With the fate of humanity on his shoulders, Byeong-gu kidnaps the executive with the help of circus performer Kang, attempting to save his beloved home planet.
In 2025, Save the Green Planet! was adapted by director Yorgos Lanthimos and producer Ari Aster as Bugonia, with Jang Jun-hwan serving as an executive producer.
Please note: this film contains scenes of graphic violence, implied domestic abuse and disturbing archive footage.
