**SOLD OUT** Asian Cinema Collective presents: Time and Tide (2026)

After sell out screenings at MIFF 2026, we are thrilled to present Time and Tide in a special screening for our community, featuring a q&a with director, Vee Shi.

About the Film

Set in a remote town in China, when a once-proud and stubborn patriarch suffers a stroke, the burden of his care falls on his estranged wife, who has long wanted to leave their unhappy marriage, and his second daughter, a single mother struggling to make ends meet. Time and Tide is a hybrid nonfiction film, a vérité-style account of contemporary China seen through the eyes of a multigenerational family navigating ageing, hurt, and the weight of family responsibility.
