Electra Business Breakfast is looking forward to welcoming some of the team from Kāpiti Coast Airport to talk about the land they own which includes the existing airport. This is an opportunity to hear about the reality of running an airport and to consider the longer-term opportunities available to Kāpiti.
Chris Simpson – CEO Kāpiti Airport
Chris is the CEO of the airport – he will discuss the financial issues and constraints of the airport.
Simon Lockie – Lockie Airport Management
Simon is an airport director, manager, consultant, software developer, data analyst and a pilot. He works with airports across New Zealand and Australia to help them better understand their current and future potential and to set and achieve realistic goals for growth, sustainability and compliance. He will discuss the geographic and technical constraints of an airport in a suburban setting.
Ross Browne – Triplex Consulting
Ross is a business consultant who works with high-technology companies in the emergency response, defence, and logistics sectors. Amongst his activity, he works with a number of specialist avionics businesses developing opportunities in the New Zealand market. He will discuss resilience planning in the context of Kāpiti Airport.

Electra Business Breakfast can operate at AL2 with no restrictions on attendance as long as everyone can safely stay 1m apart. We are required to continue seating guests on arrival and to carefully manage the buffet. We encourage you all to wear a mask when not eating or drinking. Please stay home if you are feeling unwell, scan in on arrival and use the sanitiser provided. Table seating will 8 guests per table. Depending on the number of bookings for this Breakfast, we have a plan in-place to use the Southward Theatre as needed. If Covid prevents us from running, we will try to reschedule first and then cancel and transfer/refund tickets as needed. Breakfast operates using the Event Sector Voluntary Code.
