August Advanced Obedience: CGC Prep in West Roxbury

Advanced Obedience: CGC Prep class will take place at the Theodore Parker Church in West Roxbury, MA on Tuesday evenings for 6 sessions: 8/29, 9/05, 9/12, 9/19, 9/26, and 10/03. Each session will be 50 minutes long and be held between 7:00 and 7:50 pm. The class includes a CGC test that will be scheduled within a month of the course ending and taking the test is optional for students. 

The Canine Good Citizen test is a 10 step test offered by the AKC that tests good manners in dogs and responsible ownership skills in their owners. Topics covered in this course include loose leash walking with distractions, accepting greetings from strangers, neutral responses to distractions, and advanced obedience skills such as sit, down, stay, and waiting out of sight of handlers. This course is appropriate for dogs that have taken a beginner and intermediate obedience course and that are tolerant of the presence of people and dogs in their space.

This class will take place indoors with appropriate social distancing and class is limited to 6 dogs total. For this course to run, there is a minimum of 4 students required, this course will be postponed if we cannot meet course requirements.
