Australia becoming ... Conversations with Mary Graham - September, October, November
Event description
Aboriginal logic: a Conversation with Mary GrahamÂ
Sunday, November 17, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
We live at a time when many democracies are repudiating the moral base on which they have operated for centuries, and colonialist governments ignore the truth on which they were founded.
We must remind ourselves that there are people on this continent who continue to manage stable societies that have existed for thousands of generations. The First Nations people of this Land have offered, many times, to work with us to move towards such an ethical base. Now more than ever we need to sit down and listen to them. And we must work to remove all the shackles of colonialism that bind them into silence and continue to deny their human rights.
This coming Sunday, Aunty Dr Mary Graham will offer that opportunity, as she guides us towards an understanding of the sophisticated and intricate system of Aboriginal logic.
These Conversations are lively, engaging and thought-provoking - we'd love you to join us! You’ll find us at BrisWest, 132 Latrobe Terrace Paddington. Come along at 9:30 for a cup of coffee or tea, before a 10:00 am start, a break for morning tea and a group discussion until we close at 1:00 pm.
There is plenty of on-street parking nearby.
Hope to see you there!
