Australian Baroque - Elysian Harmonies

Event description

Elysian harmonies

This concert presents chamber-music works of unsurpassed beauty. The satiating creative spirit of JS Bach and of Telemann accords with the seductive allure of musical masterpieces by Pisendel—the Dresden-based student of Vivaldi—and Francoeur le Cadet—the esteemed Master of Music to King Louis XV. This auditory feast—containing works of unparalleled depth and mastery, providing a window into the soul—is simply not to be missed.

Australian Baroque is joined by the sensational London-based baroque cellist Kinga Gaborjani, who brings a lifetime’s experience and dazzling technique to the interpretation of eighteenth century repertoire.

Performers: Dr Geoffrey Lancaster harpsichord, Kinga Gaborjani cello, Andy Skinner flute, Helen Kruger violin

Midland Junction Arts Centre, Auditorium
