Native Pollinators in Your Backyard with Habitat Connection Co
Event description
Join us for Australian Pollinator Week to discover the fascinating world of native bees, butterflies, beetles, birds and other pollinators that call your garden home. This talk explores the vital role native pollinators play in healthy ecosystems and how you can support them through thoughtful planting and habitat creation.
Learn how to identify common native pollinators, understand their unique behaviours, and design your garden to provide the food, shelter, and nesting sites they need to thrive. You’ll leave inspired with practical ideas to make your backyard buzz with life.
About our presenter:
Hannah is a creative force driven by a deep love for nature. With over twelve years of experience in conservation, environmental management, horticulture, permaculture, and landscape design, her work is led by a clear mission: to help people reconnect with the natural world through educational experiences, and to heal our fragmented landscapes by creating habitat-rich gardens in urban spaces.
Obsessed with native plants and the intricate stories they tell, Hannah is especially fascinated by the relationships between native flora and local wildlife. Her work is grounded in a passion for biodiversity and a belief that greater awareness and understanding of our local ecosystems can lead to meaningful change.
