Autistic Families: Interactive Workshop
Event description
When you're an Autistic parent raising Autistic children, it’s easy to lose sight of your own needs. You deserve tools that help you recognise your capacity and thrive in your own way.
This workshop will introduce practical tools to support your wellbeing and help you better understand your unique parenting experience. You’ll leave with clear, accessible information to navigate both the rewards and the demands of Autistic parenting.
In this interactive workshop we’ll explore:
A simple framework to help you understand and meet your own needs as an Autistic parent
How to notice and manage sensory, emotional, and mental overload in daily life
Ideas for building flexible routines and environments that support your wellbeing
Guidance that supports a strong, positive Autistic identity for yourself and your child
You’ll have opportunities to share your own experiences in a way that works for you and connect with other parents on a similar journey.
Meet Your Facilitators:
Eliza is an AuDHD mum of three Autistic children. What began as a search for support for her family grew into a deep passion for helping others. She now shares her lived experience by building resources and creating spaces for other parents on a similar journey.
Kristy is a proud mum to Dash, who is Autistic and has ADHD, just like his mum. She’s passionate about connecting with other families and celebrating neurodivergent joy and all the strengths that come with thinking differently.
