Back to the Training Centre 2026: 3-6 Sensorial Extensions
Event description
Sensorial Extensions — Deepening Discovery and Engagement
We all begin with children by introducing the Sensorial materials beautifully — yet very often, the work doesn’t progress beyond those first, familiar presentations. Yet there is so much more these materials can offer. Join us as we revisit the Sensorial area and explore a wide range of meaningful extensions that reconnect children to the material and reignite curiosity and joy in learning.
Together, we’ll rediscover how these exercises continue to refine the senses, build concentration, and prepare the foundation for abstraction — long after that initial presentation.
What to expect: We will revisit the Sensorial materials, practice a range of meaningful extensions, and share ideas for re-engaging children through exploration and discovery. Come ready to be inspired and renew your appreciation for this remarkable area of the Children’s House environment.
